H. Jay Easterling

Board Chair

H. Jay Easterling moved to Raleigh in 2013 from New York City where he and his family lived for 22 years. A native H. Jay Easterlingof Mississippi, Jay is delighted to be back in the south once again. Jay spent his early working years in the IBM Company, but while living in New York, he transitioned into the world of financial services (like most everyone else in New York) and became a member of the American Stock Exchange and later a partner in the trading firm, the Gargoyle Group. Also while in New York, Jay was a founding board member of Hope for New York, a not-for-profit organization that provided more than 80,000 hours of volunteer services during 2014. Jay met Glen soon after moving to Raleigh in 2013 and became a Fathers Forever board member earlier this year. Finally, Jay is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he played varsity football. He and his wife, Lynn have a 7th grade son named Joonie.

Glen Warren: Founder

Executive Director

Glen Warren, Founder/Executive Director of Fathers Forever has been involved in the empowerment of men for over Glen Warren25 years as a facilitator of various conferences formed to encourage and empower men to discover the combination to unlocking their future. Glen retired from Wake County HumanServices in April 2011 with over 20 years of experience as a mental health crisis counselor for persons with depression, suicidal thoughts and substance abuse issues.

Glen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Adult Education and certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Glen has been featured in the News & Observer newspaper and several local televison stations. Glen’s desire and pledge for Fathers Forever is to give experience, commitment and resources to provide a positive alternative that will motivate, educate and equip fathers to become co-parents in their children’s lives.

Christina Stroud


Christina is a Junior Staff Accountant at Thomas E. Spivey, CPA, Accounting Firm located in Durham, NC.  She ChristinaStroudgraduated from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.  Christina has years of expertise and specializes in working with Non-Profit Organizations.

Theresa Jones

Theresa is a licensed professional counselor who works in the field of mental health. Her services include therapy Theresa Jonesfor depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and beyond. Her numerous responsibilities include consultation, crisis management, college counseling and case management.

Theresa has more than 10 years of experience in the criminal justice field as a probation and parole officer. She worked with the Raleigh Police department’s Child Development Community Policing program (CDCP), which involves assessing children who witness or are directly affected by a traumatic event.

Theresa graduated from Shaw University with a Bachelor’s degree in behavior science and received her Master’s degree in counseling from Webster University. She holds memberships in the American Counseling Association (ACA), North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor Association (LPCANC), National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).

Carol Warren

Carol is a graduate of Fayetteville State University with an Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science. Carol also Carol-Warrenholds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from Campbell University. She has an extensive background of more than 20 years in the business arena, both public and private sectors.

Carol has been instrumental in assisting organizations with writing various legal documents, such as by-laws and policies. She has planned training and overseen team-building for employees, as well as managed and coordinated many functions and events for large companies. Carol also possesses a broad knowledge and experience in desktop publishing, creation of logos and advertisements.

Angela Hawkins

Angela is a 2009 graduate of American Intercontinental University in Chicago, IL. She holds an AABA in Business Agela-HawkinsAdministration. Angela has worked in the Human Services field for the past 15 years, providing support for projects and contracts, assisting managers with the approval process of contracts, tracking contracts, submitting change orders and preparing transmittal letters and execution of final contracts.

Angela also has experience in accounting, providing financial support to the county and its community partners. For the past eight years, she has worked as a church secretary/administrator, providing administrative support for church staff. She is responsible for organizing fundraisers and community outreach programs and has written church grants. Currently, Angela is enrolled in college to obtain an Associates degree in Business Administration.
