A youth or early-fatherhood prevention initiative that is founded on the premise that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Training sessions offered for young males, ages 14-19 years old. Topics of discussion are peer pressure, jump starting the transition from boys to men, Child Support, and general responsibilities of fatherhood once males have fathered a child.
These sessions are designed to be the “ounce of prevention,” so there will be no need for the “pound of cure.” The second part of the training is comprised of image building sessions. Young men are taught things such as the importance of a positive self-image; how to tie a necktie–a skill that will last for a lifetime, etc.
